How we handle your data — and why we collect almost none of it.

Fake Job Detector India was built to protect Job Seekers — not to exploit their data. We are acutely aware that the people using this tool may already be in a vulnerable position, targeted by scammers. That is why our core promise is simple: we do not collect, store, or share any job post text you paste into our detector.
Every analysis runs entirely in real time on our server. When the result is returned to you, the text is discarded — it is never written to a database, log file, or any third-party service.
What we DO NOT collect
What we may passively collect
Our detector uses a Random Forest classifier trained on 96,674 real and fake job postings. When you paste a job post, the text is converted to a numerical representation using TF-IDF (Term Frequency–Inverse Document Frequency) and passed through the model, which returns a risk score and verdict in milliseconds.
Your job post text is never used to retrain our model. The model is static and does not learn from new inputs. The text you submit is processed in memory and immediately discarded after the result is sent back to your browser.
We display ads through Google AdSense to keep this service free for all users. Google AdSense may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to show you relevant ads based on your browsing activity across other websites.
This data is collected and controlled entirely by Google — we do not have access to it. You can manage or opt out of personalised ads at any time:
We do not set any first-party cookies ourselves. The only cookies present on this site are those set by Google AdSense for advertising purposes (described above). Our core tool — the job post analyser — works entirely without cookies.
Our Chrome Extension reads job post content from the currently active tab only when you click "Analyse". It does not run in the background, does not monitor your browsing history, and does not transmit any data other than the specific job post text you choose to check. The extension sends that text to our API endpoint over HTTPS, receives the verdict, and displays it to you. The text is not retained after the response is returned.
All traffic between your browser and our server is encrypted using HTTPS / TLS. Our application is hosted on Render, a cloud platform that provides industry-standard infrastructure security. Because we do not store your submitted text, there is no database of job post submissions that could be breached or leaked.
This service is intended for Job Seekers and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
If we make significant changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
